SEA DIALOGUES
2026
For SEA DIALOGUES, during an art residency in Estonia in 2025, I gave sheets of tracing paper to the sea. Waves, sand and salt left behind folds, tears and perforations, which I gradually began to read as a visual language.
Back in my Berlin studio, I cut the paper into stripes and wove it into a new structure. I responded to the sea’s existing traces with hand-embroidered interventions in white thread. By engaging with what the sea had left behind and answering in my own language, a quiet dialogue emerged.
Weaving becomes an expression of connection: between the sea and myself, between chance and intention. The stitches form an intimate gesture that suggests care, repair and healing. The works move between erosion and restoration, holding both side by side without resolving them.

SEA DIALOGUES
Backshop Culterim Spaces, 2026
The group exhibition SHAPES WE BUILT at Culterim Space serves as an orientation map within the instability of our present time. Gathering the artistic research of Christian August, Laure Catugier, Adrianne Gojak, Teresa Gruber, Sabine Kelka, and Jappe Mo Reintjes, the exhibition presents art not as a dogmatic answer, but as a practical tool to inhabit complexity and navigate contemporary chaos. Far from offering static or reassuring forms, the exhibition takes shape through physicalmatter to guide the viewer into a dynamic ecosystem where transformation remains the only constant.
