REFLECTIONS ON HOME at “Future Alchemists”,

The two works shown at the group exhibition Future Alchemists are part of the series Reflections on home. They are an exploration of the immediacy of Teresa’s perception and actions as a child. An attempt to translate the vague feeling of memories into a physical form, to make them tangible and preserve them. She examines the concept of home – not only as a physical location but even more as an internal state of safety and belonging.

The starting point is a series of nine abstracted drawings of real places: the stone steps to the stream, her secret places in the forest, and the meadows and fields. Shapes from these drawings are the basis for the paper objects.
