LAYERS
2023–2024
During the realization of the series Layers, Teresa was dealing with farewell and memories. Her personal challenge was to delve deeper into perceiving the different layers of grief – to fully confront the pain and to face it head-on. The works show intuitive forms, grayscales, overlapping elements, and translucent layers that correlate with this inner process. 2–4 overlaying shapes of tracing paper create different shadings. This process resulted in two series of 6 and 8 drawings.

LAYERS at “Zwei”

Zwei is the second joint exhibition by Teresa Gruber and Miriam Lehnart at ErsterErster Galerie. Both artists explore the theme of memories from different perspectives. Teresa is showing her series Layers, that was created during a period of grieving. The works present intuitive forms, grayscales, overlapping elements, and translucent layers that correlate with this inner process. Miriam showcases a selection of photographs from her series A Day After Full Moon – 52 still life images created over the course of 2023.
